Project Grant
You can apply for project grants twice a year. Deadlines are February 1st and October 1st. Applications approved will be announced about three weeks after deadline.
Who can apply?
Only students and staff belonging to the organisational unit that originates from the school that once (1848) was founded by the Society can apply. Today it is integrated in the University of Gothenburg, Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts, and its most recent name has been HDK-Academy of Design and Crafts. Students can apply for project grants within a year from completion of studies.
What are the requirements?
Primarily, the Society funds projects that are innovative and experimental, and/or have clearly public and/or international aims. The grants are intended for individual as well as collaborative projects that cannot be realised within the day-to-day activities of the school. Projects within educational programs and courses including degree projects, as well as projects within research and staff development are not eligible.
What money can be spent on
A grant can be spent on, for example: material and tools, renting equipments and space, services (e.g. printing), fees to lecturers, expert participants, costs related to study visits, workshops, conferences, seminars travel expenses and car rentals. What you cannot use the money for is paying ’salary’ for your own work. Grants awarded usually range from 5000 up to 50000 SEK.
Submit application in the application portal
You can no longer use the older application form. Only applications submitted in the portal will be considered.
